Boys have a soft side too!

Well this one has anyway lol. I finally got the chance to make a card but struggled to get my mojo going again.
Breaking from old habits is hard but I am dying to get back to blogging and crafting after the house renovations and clean up! This card is for a 16 year old from his tutor. I kept it quite simple and quite soft in colours too but added some staples and ripped edges to make it more manly looking!
Image - Sugar Nellie
Papers - from my scrap box
Embellishments - doodling, cricuit stars, ribbon and staples
Medium - it is coloured with promarkers
I would like to enter this into
Cards for Men -  spring colours
Top Tip Tuesday - spotty dotty
Shopping our Stash - masculine theme or boy colours
Creative Craft - followed their sketch
Emergency Crafts - plain and simple
Saturday Challenge - a man's card
Craft your days away - metal (staples in the ribbon)
PanPastel Uk - one for the boys

Now I have a photo of my new craft room finally! I still have a bit more stuff to get in there. I am planning to put all my rubber stamps into cd boxes and wall mount them for easier access. I want more drawer storage as well but all in good time. I  am just too tired and have too many orders and design team stuff to catch up on so this is how it will be for another little while. We have the boys all shifted into their rooms and in the utility room we just need to finish the worktops and add the cupboard doors and get a bit of shelving.
Let me know what you think and if you have any good storage solutions yourself?

I have added lots more photos to MY CRAFT ROOM page above if you are interested.

Morning Pinky,

That craft room looks to be coming on nicely and great having your desk housed under the window. All the upheaval will be worthwhile when it's all done.

Saw your mention of a lamp, I treated myself to an Ottlite from C&C, well two actually. I have looked at them so many time and decided my daylight lamp must be just the same, but there's no comparison.

After getting the first one to go over my main work desk, I was so impressed I got another slightly smaller one to go on my computer desk and am well pleased with them.

Have a good Sunday.

Glad you're getting the house sorted at last. If you're anything like me you'll keep moving stuff around in the craft room trying to get everything accessible. Two and a half months on and I still keep moving stuff.
I think the card is great and the young man will love it - but I don't remember ever getting a birthday card from my teachers. How times change.
