Celebrate the new year

I thought it might be nice to have a 'celebrate' card for a New Year greeting.
So I came up with this design using these gorgeous dies

So here are the items I used to make my card:
White card, orange card, embossed white card, two oval dies.

First I cut 6 ovals in the 3rd smallest size (3 for each balloon) in orange card
and folded them in half.

Using the waste I cut two little sections to act as the balloon tag.

I glued the tag in position then started to build my balloon, gluing one half of the oval
to my backing card.

then another at the other side.

and finally, adding a strip of glue to the centre

and placing my third oval, holding in place until glue dries.

Repeat this for the second balloon.

Hand draw strings to base of card.

Finish off by stamping a sentiment to fit inside the smallest oval shape.

Hope you like it!

I am entering this into:

The sky is blue, there's a bit of sun peaking out and I'm rearing to get out and about but everyone is having a lie in! Typical. Best go have a nice cup of coffee while I patiently wait.
Have a great weekend!
