Cold and frosty

Have you been in our top 5?

It's time for our very first challenge of 2018 over at
and this month we want to see
Cold and Frosty Colours

We have an amazing prize up for grabs with a fabulous collection of
Sizzix Products!

Just please please please remember
Stamping must be the central point of attention and interest

I went a bit mad with my Christmas presents and made two cards this month!

I got some lovely new Sheena Douglass stamps and some new Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens and Spectrum Aqua watercolour pens. Santa was sooooo good to me this year!
For my first card I used the watercolours pens and glycerine for my background and stamped some tree tops and the little bird which I coloured with promarkers.
I then splatered some Gesso to create snow. The sentiment was stamped then I added some glue and glitter.
Items used:
Watercolour card, spectrum noir acqua pens, Sheena Douglass stamps, memento ink, versafine ink, glycerine, glitter, lilac card.

For my second card I used sparkle noir pens for my background, along with my Sheena Douglass stamps, promarkers, snowflake stamp and white gel pen for snowy highlights.
I love making these backgrounds but those spectrum noir sparkle pens leave such a mess on my hands. I am seriously thinking of wearing rubber gloves next time!

We three kings....

Forgot to post these earlier with all the Christmas chaos!
I made these using my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens which I LOVE!
The stamp I think is from Papermania, (only a guess) but if you know better let me know as it is unmarked.
I used 3 different colours for the background and lots of water.
The stamp has been stamped with memento and coloured with promarkers.

Well how did your Christmas go? Hope it went well.
We had a lovely family get together at our house. It was a real pleasure having all but one of my kids and his family here. We really enjoyed having the company of our two beautiful Grandsons who were super excited about the whole thing.
Nearly time to start that diet now lol.

Back to my craft room clear out again, but I will be back on Saturday with a
Tutti Design make.
Did you know they have a great end of year sale on at the minute?
Check it out HERE

Oh little town of Bethlehem

I had four religious cards to make and thought this image from Mo's Digital Pencil would be perfect!
The background is done with Sparkle Pens and water, the images are coloured with promarkers.
The background papers are from my Artylicious Cd.
Embellishments are pearls, hessian bow and a star brad.

I was at dentist today to get a broken tooth fixed. She thought maybe I needed a root canal so she dug pretty deep!! But when she had finished it turned out I couldn't get one as I have an irregular shape under that tooth and a bit of infection! So the tooth was cleaned and well filled and all fingers are crossed it behaves itself! It's still a bit sore but managed to get some food in earlier to stop the howling stomach lol.
Thanks for popping by.

Snow folk!

Our November challenge over at STAMPING SENSATIONS is now up and running and this month it's all about
ONE LAYER CHRISTMAS

This month we have an amazing prize up for grabs
In fact a first and second prize sponsored by

This month I got my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens out again to do a bit of watercolouring for my background. I am not one for doing single layer cards so this was a challenge but I did enjoy getting messy again.
I stamped my Molly Blooms snowmen stamp using memento black ink then carefully added my blue spectrum noir glitter pen around the edges of the stamped area.
I spread the blue glitter pen ink, using a broad brush soaked in water, across the card to the edges. I then added splodges of water while the ink was still wet and after letting it soak slightly I mopped up the excess with a paper towel, which gave me the lighter parts. I filled these with hand drawn snowflakes using a white gel pen.
The snowmen have been coloured using my promarkers and a bit of glitter glue.
I then finished the card with some faux stitching using the white gel pen.
What you think? I'm pretty pleased with it. I do love this technique which I saw Sheena Douglas do.

Right that's me for a few days. Hope you get time to enter our challenge this month.

This diet is from Forever Living and it only lasts for 9 days, more of a detox than a diet I suppose though there is not much food involved!!

I haven't posted in a while simply because
1. my internet has and is very poor
2. when I did get on it wouldn't upload my photos so not much point in posting without one.
Luckily, after a third try, and getting everyone else in the house off the internet I got this post prepared! So frustrating!! I will hopefully be back tomorrow with my Teddy Bo card which has refused to appear so far!
Hopefully everyone will have a lovely day and I'll send a hug for all those who are missing their Mum's today.
Thanks for dropping by.

Its been a busy two weeks, a lot has happened and none of it very good but onwards and upwards!
Everyone's health is improving, things are settling down, but bad news hit our estate last night when a neighbour got word that his son had been killed in a car accident in Australia. The shock of it hit everyone in the area hard, my heart goes out to the family who are really heartbroken.
I hope things are ok with everyone in blog land, I am sure you are all super busy but hopefully healthy and happy. I will get round to visit you all within the next few days and thanks so much for dropping by to see me.

I thought it would be perfect for this lady who minds who two grandchildren and is a very young 60 year old.

Medium - coloured with chameleon pens and spectrum noirs

I have loads of rubber stamps but use far more digi stamps basically because they are cheaper, more accessible, great for any size card, what's not to like :)

My eldest son is heading off again after 4 months at home and I am so going to miss him! My daughter has headed off to until the weekend so its just me and Squirt for a few days. Hubby will be off tomorrow then back to work so its going to be a quiet house :(
How often do we long for peace and quiet and as soon as we get it we're ready for the hills lol.
Anyway that's my moan over. With all this peace and quiet I hope to visit you all a lot this week.
Hope its going well and Happy St. Patrick's to you all.
