Time for another challenge over at Crafts4Eternity and this week Michele really pushed us! Or was it just me that felt pushed lol. The challenge this week is:
1. follow the sketch
2. include some marbling
3. make your own embellishment
Making my own embellishment was ok, I made a flower from different sized punches and then added some lilac sand for the centre of the flower. But when it came to marbling, well lets just say my form wasn't great and after three messy attempts using water and inks I gave up. Should have went for the shaving foam method but had ran out of steam. so I cheated and found some marbled paper in my stash (sshh don't tell Michele lol). The image is Sugar nellie and coloured with promarkers. The sketch is a lovely one really enjoyed punching the circles and turning them into buttons. The prize this week is a lovely digi from Crafty Sentiments so do try and get a card done for the challenge.

Crafts4Eternity #19

Time for recipe 19 over at Crafts4Eternity and the sketch this week is a nice easy one. The recipe calls for 1. THE SKETCH 2. the colour RED 3. include a HEART(S). Easy. We are also welcoming 5 new members to the DT so I look forward to working with you all. For my card this week I used my fav papers from Funkyfairies in deep red paisley hearts and white with hearts. I embossed two pieces of white card with the hearts folder and matted onto gold mirri card.
When I stuck my paper down I stupidly used a wet glue and it showed through so to cover it I followed the marks with my glue pain and then covered in glitter, a happy accident, really like the effect it created lol. I cut out the hearts and matted on to gold mirri. The image is a rak from my lovely friend Christine, I coloured it using my distress inks and matted it onto gold. The text was computer generated. I am entering this into quite a lot of challenges, so many challenges have a love theme at the minute! Great for me lol.

Crafts4Eternity recipe #18

Time for another lovely challenge and recipe over at C4E and this week the sketch is nice and simple. To join in just follow the sketch and include the recipe as well to be entered into the draw. The prize this week is a goody bag from ME. Right so here's the recipe;
THE SKETCH, USE SOMETHING CLEAR and USE INKING TECHNIQUE. for my card I used
papers from K & Company, punched the border with an MS punch, the circle is cut using my Nellies dies and I punched some hearts to use instead of ribbon. I inked round the circle, stamped Tilda and Edwin but masked off the rest of the stamp as I just wanted their heads in there. I coloured them with Distress inks. My something clear is an acetate heart. The flowers where punched and finished with a pink rosebud. Hope you get time to join in this week. I am entering this into the following challenges:
1. Just Magnolia - hearts and flowers
2. Fussy and Fancy - Hearts 3. Totally Papercrafts - Friends (this is their first challenge, so show them so love)
