Cherish

I got a lovely set of freebie quotes from Charmed cards last week and decided to use one of them to make this card for my Niece. I had a busy day yesterday as my daughter came home from her music and proceeded to be sick throughout the rest of the day. It went on for quite a number of hours but thankfully round bedtime it eased off and she began to regain some colour again!! I suppose its that time of the year. School = germs! Today I am off out to lunch with my 2 sisters, 3 nieces and hopefully my daughter. We are having a girlie get together as my sister and her two daughters are home for a week's holiday from England. So hopefully I will catch you all this evening sometime.

Who loves crepe?

I DO! I was hunting through my paper box when I came across a pack of pink crepe papers and knew right away I wanted to make a flower. I used to make these years ago, you would have found them in every room at different times of the year.
My card is for my niece who has reddish hair so struggled to capture the right colour but I am sure she will forgive me lol. The crepe flower is so easy to make and I will be making more of them I'm sure. Gave it a little sprinkling of glamour dust to finish it off.
Image - Whiff of Joy
Papers - from my craft box

Embellishments - punched border, handmade crepe flower
I am entering this into these challenges:

Oldie But Goodie - pink and girly
My eye test went well, only moved one point in two years in one eye. So pretty pleased.

Shopping in the sunshine

Back with another one. Didn't get posting at all yesterday so have to make up for it lol. This one is made using lovely red and yellow papers from Brenda Pinnick. The images are both digis, the car is a colouring in page (the lady drives a red beetle) and the girl is a great freebie from Amber Ink. They are both coloured with promarkers. The letters are cut from my new Tim Holtz Alterations sizzlits die which i treated myself to in Belfast on Saturday. I added a ribbon, stars and a punched border.
Taking my in laws to Ikea in the afternoon, they don't get out much as my father in law has Alzheimer's. So journeys have to be short and to places where he can get a rest.
1. Papertake - followed the lovely sketch
2. allsorts - create a scene
3. Double Dutch - movie madness (love bug)
4. Totallypapercrafts - one for the girls
5. City Crafter - red and summer

Tilda loves chocolate!

Firstly sorry for the dull photo, we have had nothing but dull, wet, windy days here so my latest photos are going to be a bit lack lustre. I couldn't resist entering the new challenge at Totally Tilda Challenge where the theme is chocolate (naughty Susie) lol. My papers are from Brenda Walton and gingham are funkyfairies. I cut the circle using a nellies die cut, punched the gingham with a fiskars punch. Tilda is coloured using promarkers. I added some flowers put a pearl in the centre and some glitter.
2. Crafty Angels - circles and squares (squares in gingham)
3. The pink Elephant - 3layers, 2 die cuts and ribbon
4. Creative Card Crew - to DIE for
5. Fairymoon Craft - followed their sketch and recipe

Sending a special welcome to my newest follower HEIDI-MARI!

Lily-boo Too Challenge and Digital Tuesday

Had a go at the lovely Sketch over at Lily-Boo too challenge by the lovely Jane and used their freebie this month too. Coloured her with copics and promarkers, added some glitter and cut the flowers back so I could slip the sketch in behind them. Added some pearls to the corner and text is a rub on. Over at Digital Tuesday they want to see a heart along with a digi image.

Inspirational Card Sketches and A Spoonful of Sugar

This card is for a 90year old's birthday, she loves to bake. I followed the lovely sketch over at Inspirational Card Sketches, uses a lovely image from Mo called Mummu's Nissu! It is just beautiful to colour and I used my pms to do so. The papers are from K&Co along with large letters, ribbons from stash which I stapled on. This picture opens up to reveal over things about the recipient. I used my MS border punch to give a nice edge. I used colour box petal ink to distress the edges which covers the challenge over at A Spoonful of Sugar.

Die Cut Dreams #9

As part of my prize for winning last weeks challenge at Die Cut Dreams
I earned a Guest DT spot and if that wasn't enough of a prize
the fabulous Susie and Vikki sent me some lovely die cut cupcakes, papers, ribbons, fibres, cards etc etc and I had to make some cards for the great challenge this week which is of course is CUPCAKES. I really enjoyed playing with these and they were so quick and easy to use. I made two cards and one tag and believe me I still have lots of goodies left. For the tag I used my Annie stamp and sat her on the large cupcake, the tag itself was embossed by none other than Susie's lovely son Woody, thanks pet. The second one is the Tilda baking image and again I added a cupcake, which I embossed with the dotty folder, ran the bottom through a heart crimper and added a bow. The third card, which I love is all die cut items, I just loved the big display for the cupcakes, very elegant. I added some bling to the cupcakes, a bit of fibre and a sentiment. Please take time to pop over and have a go at the challenge this week, I mean who doesn't like CUPCAKES!

Crafts4Eternity #43

Sorry to show this again but I just wanted you to be able to see the great sketch that is up on C4E this week and how I have followed it. Jeri has left a great tip over at C4e for getting the shapes right. So if you get stuck pop over and have a read. I also made this card to suit the 3-2-1 challenge on the C4E Website You have to use 3 buttons, 2 colours and 1 ribbon. Pop over and have a look. Michele now has the August Kit up for sale and I'm liking the look of it.
