Star in the making!

I made this one a while back but never got to post it.
It was made for a young boy who had entered a 'design your own disney castle' competition and would you believe he came first! His castle will be built in Disney World some day. How amazing is that??

Star student!

Its that time of the year again when students are eagerly or not waiting on their exam results. Doesn't seem that long ago when my baby got her final results and left for Uni and not she is going to be graduating in November!
This card was made for a young girl who just got amazing A Level results!

Well done!

Time for our challenge at  CRAFTY RIBBONS and this week we have a sketch created by Dawn.
I used this gorgeous sheer puff dot ribbon which you can find HERE in lots of colours.
This card was made for a girl who has just pasted her GCSE's but is very into fashion and nail polish!
I love how the image can be cut away from the circle I have used.
Lots of lovely layers to work with, I really enjoyed this sketch.
And look at the prize!

Star of TOMORROW!

This card was made for a very special little girl who was one of the stars in the musical ANNIE and she appeared in the Grand Opera House all last week. She is only just turned 13 but has talent way beyond her years!! I am proud to say she is my cousin's daughter (is this my only claim to fame lol), but her talent definitely comes from her Mum Karen!! This card was made for her Granny and Grandad to give her on her last performance on Saturday night. They achieved standing ovations throughout the week!! So well done Holly.

Do I have to go back?

Hubby heads back to school today, I know on a bank holiday but the teachers have to do a few days before the kids go back on Thursday and they opted to work the bank holiday.
I am here today with the 3rd card for my friends sister. This one was based round Irish as she did one of her exams in Irish. I put some Irish script for the border and kept to green colours.

Didn't she do well!

This is the second of 3 cards for my friends sister who passed her GCSEs. I attempted to make a ribbon flower but was a bit stingy with the ribbon lol. Should have added a few more ribbons I reckon:(

You passed!

I have three cards to make for a friends daughter who just got her GCSE results. This is the first one. I based this one around spanish as that was one of her subjects. The background paper is made using the little random word maker called WORDLE with spanish words, which I just repeated to make a sheet, then ripped and inked to match.

Hiphop Champs!!

My friend's daughter runs a hip hop dancing group and they won the recent championships!! So she just couldn't let it pass without getting them a card:) Needless to say she is so proud of her daughter and her group. They wear orange and black for their competitions so I tied it in with the card. I bought a few new designs from Kenny K's and played around with them using My Craft Studio so I could get a little group for the circle and a single girl for the outside. I am pretty pleased with the finished result even if it did take me all morning and a few hours this afternoon:(

Priscillastyles, Cute Card Thursday and KL Stampin & Scrapin

Followed the excellent sketch over at Midnight Madness for this card. Loved the folded in corners. Over at Cute Card Thursday they want a BACK TO SCHOOL theme. This card is for my nephew who has just got his place in University so its sort of back to school! Over at KL Stampin & Scrapin they want to see you use a piece of NOTEPAPER on your card. I scanned in a jotter page and positioned my Charmed Cards Mikey image on top of it. I didn't want to write anything on the page because I want to put a verse inside about a new page in the next chapter of his life, iykwim! The papers are from Tinker & Co, congratulations text is from my SeeD's sentiments set.

The Little Paper Shop and Passion for ProMarkers

This card was made following the sketch at The Little Paper Shop. The image is also from there. I coloured her with Promarkers as the challenge at Passion for ProMarkers is any colour so long as its girlie and glittery. The card is a very subtle shade of pink. The bracket and stars were cut from my cricut Schoolbook cart and glittered up. Sentiment is from PSX Pixie Affirmations. Ribbon is from DCWV sticky ribbons.
