Midnight Madness

Bit of an unusual colourway! I followed the sketch over at Midnight Madness for this card. It is for an American girl and an Irish boy who are getting married in America. They wanted me to incorporate the flags in some way so this sketch was just perfect for me. I stitched the flags in place onto digi paper with my little machine, first time using it and it is pretty wobbly lol. The image is whiff of joy coloured with pms and copics. Added a ribbon flower incorporating the colours of both flags. Did some faux stitching round the outside in silver. Was a bit heavy handed with the tan ink trying to add a bit of shading, anyone any suggestions as to how to undo this I will more than welcome.

Priscillastyles,Crafty Creations and ABC challenge

I am really loving the sketches over at Midnight Madness. They are always that little bit different and encourage you to try something different. I used this one to make a Christmas card. The image is called Angel of the Shepherds and I got it from Scottish borders Stamping company. I have had it for ages but this is the first time using it. I coloured it with copics, cut it out and matted onto embossed mirri board. I cut stars on my circut schoolbook cart and added peeloff lines. The paper came from my Artylicious Cd. The HOPE is a rub on from DCWV.
I am entering this into
Crafty Creations as well which asks for EMBOSSING and
ABC Challenge which ask for DIECUTS.

Priscillastyles, Cute Card Thursday and KL Stampin & Scrapin

Followed the excellent sketch over at Midnight Madness for this card. Loved the folded in corners. Over at Cute Card Thursday they want a BACK TO SCHOOL theme. This card is for my nephew who has just got his place in University so its sort of back to school! Over at KL Stampin & Scrapin they want to see you use a piece of NOTEPAPER on your card. I scanned in a jotter page and positioned my Charmed Cards Mikey image on top of it. I didn't want to write anything on the page because I want to put a verse inside about a new page in the next chapter of his life, iykwim! The papers are from Tinker & Co, congratulations text is from my SeeD's sentiments set.

Over at Priscillastyles the DT have used the most beautiful images for their cards this week from Michelle Perkett which are just stunning, can feel a little shopping coming on.

Midnight Madness makes friends with Cute Daisy May

Had a card to make for a silver wedding anniversary and the couple are very into Irish music so wanted an Irish theme to the card. I used papers from Funky Fairies, Frame I have had on my computer for years, Image from CDM coloured with pms and I added a few leaves to the trees as its for August and it ties in with their theme of FRIENDS. Flowers and wording from stash. The lovely sketch came from MM. Music is a PB stamp.
Put a quote on vellum on tag which reads:
Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction.
Thought it tied in well with the little image.
