My happy place!

Top 5 Passionista Blinkie

I had a request for a birthday card for a man who loves a beer and loves
holidaying in Donegal.
This is what I came up with!
The background is a photo of Donegal and the man with the beer in hand
is from Digi Stamp Boutique.
Though I think you have to buy their images at LOTV now.

I have been away on a short break with hubby down to Ballina, County Mayo.
We had a lovely time, weather wasn't great but workable lol.
Did lots of sight seeing even though we have been before with the kids many years ago.
But things have changed a lot since then and it certainly was very peaceful this time round!
So I'm back on the crafting wheel with lots to do in the week ahead.
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for dropping by!

Seaside scene

After a recent trip to the seaside I was inspired to replicate the scene by these two gorgeous dies

and

I think it makes a great male themed card.
I started my card by stamping this lovely scene and colouring with my markers.
I roughly drew some gray bricks and added some green and yellow to make it
look water stained.

I used the Anchor die and some kraft card

and adhered it over the brick wall.

I tore some lovely sea blue sparkly paper to create waves
and added the first strip.

I cut the anchor using some silver card

and glued it over the first wave.

I continued layering the torn paper to create the sea
and then trimmed everything off.

I finished with some nice striped ribbon.

The dies I used for my project today are:

and

Definitely two great dies to have in your stash!

I also used:
Stamp - Papermania Urban Stamps, Michael Powell
Medium - promarkers and sparkle pens for sky
Embellishments - ribbon

Summer party

Today I got myself into the summer party flow making some cute matching
windmills to pop into lemonade, cupcakes, sweetie jars and a little table seating card.

I used the gorgeous

from Tutti Designs

I used one sheet of 6 x 6 inch double sided paper and cut
the square sizes you can see in photo.

I folded the paper from point to point, as shown, and burnished the folds.

I then cut up each fold just about a centimeter short of the centre point.

I added some tape runner and proceeded to bring one point of each cut up to centre.
They are held together with a silver square brad which attached them to the straws.
The little table seating card is 2" x 2.5", folded in half.
Stamp your sentiment and secure the smallest windmill to the side using the brad.

Easy and quick and you know your squares will be perfect using these great dies.

For my project I have used

As I got carried away making these I decided to do a card for the birthday girl too.

Items used:
LOTV image
coloured with promarkers
Papers from Tutti Frutti DSP
Metal Brads for centres of windmills
