Here comes Summer!

Today, with this lovely warm weather over here in Ireland, I made a seaside card!

I used the very useful
and the very useful
Stamps are from Whiff of Joy
Medium - promarkers
Papers - Stampin Up black and white paper and card
Background papers are from an old marbled set of papers
that come in 5 pastel shades. I knew it would be useful one day!

So to make my card I cut the Seashell Corner die out twice and cut away the shells to
use as embellishments on my card.

Next I used the Dotted Nesting Squares, two different sizes to cut out one striped square
and one red and one blue of the larger square.

I prepared my card base by tearing some yellow paper and matting onto some
marbled paper for the sky and sand.

Next I assembled my beach huts by cutting the striped square into triangles
for the roof and cutting a rectangle of white for the doors.
I drew the circles and added faux stitching.

I adhered the huts to my card and added the shells around them.
I stamped some beach images, coloured them up and 3d them onto the card.

I even used some tiny little off cuts from the Seashell die to pop over the top of the doors.
There was very little waste from the die cuts.
I hope you like my finished project.

ANYTHING GOES
Usual rules apply, you can enter up to three times, combine with other challenges, use any make of stamp......but can I please remind you.........we are a stamping challenge so must see a stamped image, sentiment or quote as the focal element of your artworkIt so upsets us to see names come out in the draw who are not eligible for the prize because they have not read the rules.

 We are sponsored by
They are offering one lucky winner a fabulous £35 store voucher.

For my card I used a stamp from Whiff of Joy.
I used a tattered lace shutter card die.
Papers are free with a magazine and a lovely black glossy card
I stamped all the sentiments which were free with a magazine and punched some small stars and cut some large ones in the glossy black card on my scan n cut.
I add some glitter to his champagne!
Letters where cut using tattered lace dies

Sorry about the photo, I have since purchased a light box so hopefully that will help me out.

I should have had this posted earlier but I sat in front of the tv eating my breakfast catching up on Call the Midwife. I just love that show!!
I am hoping to head to the beach today for a nice long walk with hubby. It has given wet weather up here in the north but I am heading down south lol so fingers crossed.
Hope you all have a lovely day and do try and enter our challenge, well worth it for that lovely prize!

Reason for the season!

Taking a wee break to post this card. I got this stamp last year but never got round to inking it up and now this Christmas I have had opportunity to use it a few times. Sadly Whiff of Joy has now closed its doors which is really sad. I have quite a few of their stamps!

Right that's me, switching off for the evening as I am totally knackered! Still dosed with the cold as is everyone in the house and this is our third time round the block with this one! I have two more days of crafting and that should be all my orders up to date. Nothing made for myself so I will be sending some New Year cards out to all you lovely people who I have been lucky enough to receive a beautiful handmade card from. Sorry again but I'll make it as nice as I can :) I have your lovely cards displayed next to the tree!
Take care and have a great weekend. I will hopefully be back again soon as I have a large stock of cards not posted yet.

Whiff of Joy

This is an a4 card for a couple who are getting married in Thailand. I wanted to use vibrant and exotic colours for this card and I think these papers from DCWV fit the bill. They are glittered on the flowers and leaves and I really love the look of them. The images are of course from Whiff of Joy...the bride, groom and dove along with the lovely sketch I followed. I coloured them with promarkers, added a beautiful heart ribbon, bow and heart charm. Border was cut from MS punch. The little frame around the couple is from C4E. Remember to enter their challenge this week as you could win some lovely wedding digis! I added some pearls just because I wanted too lol. This photo doesn't do this card justice, it is really nice to the eye in real life.

The Fresh Batch #17

Still on the Holy Communion Cards, can you believe it! This is one of 4 for this weekend. I followed the lovely sketch over at The fresh Batch using my Whiff of Joy Boy stamp. Papers from Scrapbook.com, ribbon and bow from stash. Bible is a peeloff, black cross (which on hindsight I should have stamped in gold) is a shrink plastic one using my Inkadinkado stamp. Stamped image is coloured with copics and PM, and unfortunately the card I stamped on had a bit of a sheen to it and the markers did not like it at all. So many lessons learnt today lol.
