I used 3 book layers and mounted it all onto an a5 card which I trimmed to follow the shape.

I had a sympathy card to make for a friend who lost her husband very suddenly. I wanted it to be a bit more special than usual so went for a boxed book type card. It has lots of layers underneath with more sentiments and flowers but I had meant to get my daughter to help photograph it when she got home but completely forgot and I have now delivered the card:(

Pinky, this is so gorgeous. I love the book shape and the flower is so pretty. That butterfly is beautiful especially with all the layers you did ... fantastic job. I'm sure your friend loved it and it's obvious you put a lot of time and effort into it.

I LOVE this sympathy card...Usually I make them much simpler and more plain, but how lovely would it be to recieve something like this??? That butterfly leaves me speechless...I have to rethink my style on these types of cards. Well done.
