Hello retirement!

Good evening everyone.
I had a retirement card to make for a nurse recently and was hunting through google looking for a new nurse image to use and came across As Cute as a Button and found this class image. They have loads more gorgeous and very useful images so I will be back!!

Image - As cute as a button
Papers - Nitwits
Embellishments - paper buttons, tag
Medium - promarkers

I am entering this into
Cre8tive hands friends - anything goes (thanks for the heads up Karen)

Look at me back posting already lol. Must be the diet! Which by the way is going well, second day nearly over and tomorrow I get to each one big meal and two shakes so exciting stuff. I struggled today, not so much hungry, but missing the 'sit down with a cup of coffee' lol. Hopefully it will do me some good though. Missing out on sugar and coffee cannot be a bad thing for a while.
Have a great week.

School's out forever!

Well it is for this lady  who has just retired from teaching.
The challenge this week at CRAFTS4ETERNITY is a colour challenge. Please pop over and check it out. We have our two regular sponsors this week so lots of prizes up for grabs.
I went with red mostly but have added some of the other colours from the photo as well.
I used a lovely Magnolia image but she lost a bit of her earrings when I was cutting her out lol. The frame and flowers are from Do Crafts cd, the background is from Craft Artist, book from my digi stash.
I would like to enter this into
Passion for ProMarkers - use gingham/checks
There she Goes - sewing and stitching
Crafty Creations - anything goes
Tammy's Scrapin Corner - anything goes any artist

I am off out for the day, not sure where we are going. But its just hubby and me so it should be a nice relaxing day, which is what we both need:)

Retiring

Had a card to make for a retiring Classroom Assistant who works in a school nursery. Decided to pull out my little Crafters Companion mice. I have so many packs of these they have just been neglected. I used the background from the Summer Stories cd and attempted to turn it into the outside of the school. This is for 4 challenges;
1.Its a Crafters Companion - yellow and orange
2. Truly Scrumptious - followed their sketch
3. Quixotic Challenge -use an old stamp (got these early last year)
4. Paperplay challenge - use your own handwriting (wrote the school name)
Images - crafters companion
Medium - distress inks, stickles, promarkers
Papers - digi papers
Tools - embossing folder, sewing machine, fancy cut scissors
