Yesterday was my birthday and I had a lovely day, with lots of birthday wishes, cards and pressies. I did spend a lot of the day in the car as we had our son home to attend the pro am in Newcastle which is a 45 min drive from our house and another half hour to get to airport and then back again! Exhausting but very exciting for him. He was caddying along with Graham McDowell and met loads of other famous golfers.

After all that excitement we had the rest of the family round for a nice piece of chocolate cake provided by my lovely daughter Charlie. I got lots of cuddles from my two wee Grandsons and seeing a card with Granny on it is so strange lol!
Catch you all later.

The house is very quiet at the minute as my daughter is away to London for a few days break, hubby is at work, so just me and the dog. We have sliding wardrobes arriving on Monday so that knocks our bank holiday escape on the head but we have been waiting for 8 weeks on these things arriving so just glad to get the room finally finished. Hope you have something nicer planned for the weekend and hopefully the weather will cheer up!

Tom is a wee darling and growing like a leek! I so wish we could get some descent weather though and the forecast for this summer is bleak apparently. Fingers crossed as my garden is well neglected!!
Hope you are all well, I will pop round and check up on you all this evening.

The Myles is after my late Dad, so very chuffed with that.
He is the picture of his big brother but is changing every day.
I will get a nice picture up soon.
Hope you have all been well while I have been missing. I will pop round over the weekend and do a catch up.

Easter bunnies

Happy April Fools Day, has anyone been caught out yet??
I can't believe it's going to be Easter this weekend, where has this year gone? A sure sign I'm getting old!
I have a card to share which was made for a little baby's first Easter.
I had to use these colours as they matched the present for the baby and I had to have 'apple of mummy's eye on there as well.

We had a brand new cinema open up here in Craigavon and last night my daughter, my daughter-in-law and myself went to watch Cinderella. Such luxury sitting in shiny new CLEAN seats lol and the chairs rocked!! We had a great night and the film, though predictable, was lovely to watch. It was a nice treat for my daughter in law as she is due in 3 weeks!! If I don't get back on here before Easter I hope you all have a lovely one. I have heard rumours that the sunshine is to return, so fingers crossed.

A mother...

Wanted to say a warm welcome to  four new followers. So chuffed when I see some lovely new faces coming to my blog and of course I will be following you all too. So welcome

Wow I can't believe it's been a full week since I last posted! I did get some commenting done which was good but I just never found the time to post any of my makes, and there have been a lot lol.
This was a Mother's Day one I made.
It was made using my new dies from Tattered Lace (butterflies, border, card shape and flower dies. It only takes one sheet of paper to decorate these cards, mine was a freebie with a magazine.  I added some ribbon and little rose buds and a ribbon flower. The sentiment is from my dcwv quote book. I love that these dies cut for the inside of the card too, makes my life so much easier lol.

So this week I was working on a 34 page scrapbook, mostly digital, but then printed and layered up here and there, for a friend. I really enjoyed doing it but my eyes are hanging out of my head now!
I off for a day out with hubby tomorrow, visiting his cousin who had an operation, then a bit of window shopping. Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Forgot to mention - the coffee posted in my sidebar is a new business venture by my daughter. She does all the artwork, blends the coffee and packaging as well. She is going through the Princes Trust and I am very proud of her. If you get the chance please pop by her Etsy Shop and check it out.

Pamper those girls

Sorry about the dull photo, its was taken in a bit of a rush and I should really have checked it first. But I was pretty pleased with the card. When I first saw this image on a card on one of the challenge blogs I just had to go and get it! I thought it would be perfect for this lady who minds who two grandchildren and is a very young 60 year old.

I have loads of rubber stamps but use far more digi stamps basically because they are cheaper, more accessible, great for any size card, what's not to like :)

My eldest son is heading off again after 4 months at home and I am so going to miss him! My daughter has headed off to until the weekend so its just me and Squirt for a few days. Hubby will be off tomorrow then back to work so its going to be a quiet house :(
How often do we long for peace and quiet and as soon as we get it we're ready for the hills lol.
Anyway that's my moan over. With all this peace and quiet I hope to visit you all a lot this week.
Hope its going well and Happy St. Patrick's to you all.
